Oh Hai!

Won’t you please help me?

My name is Ryoko O’Connor.  I am a 2 year old Siamese/Tabby mix kitty and I’m very, very sick.  My Doctors believe I have a severe liver problem that could very possibly be fatal.

On Friday, August 6, 2010, I had a very violent attack of vomiting.  Sadly, this was only the first of many that came in the following days during the weekend while I waited for my Doctor’s office to be open on Monday.  When I saw the doctor, he thought I had a tough, but common virus, like the kind humans get, so he gave me some antibiotics and sent me home.  The next day I started to feel very sleepy and didn’t feel like playing at all.  All I wanted to do was sleep.  I thought this was a normal part of my little body trying to fight the virus, so I didn’t worry too much about it.  By Tuesday I’d become lethargic and stopped eating or drinking so on Wednesday I went back to the doctor.  He took a sample of my blood to have it tested for Feline Leukemia (FL), Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV).  All of these diseases are incurable and highly contagious, so not only was I scared for myself, but for my sister Neko as well!  That night I was fed baby food with a syringe every two hours all through the night in an attempt to get some nourishment in me.

All packed up and ready to go.

This morning, Thursday, August 12, I was told that I didn’t have any of those diseases, so I was very happy that I wasn’t going to get Neko sick too, but my own health was rapidly getting worse.  My Doctor is very worried about my liver failing on me, and it could be terminal.  Right now I am in the hospital undergoing a 48 hour I.V. treatment to try and flush out my system and help get my liver back in working order.  Even at this point it’s unknown if this will cure me, but I’m willing to try anything to save my life!  If this works, I might have to undergo these procedures for days, weeks, or even months, but the cost of these procedures is very expensive and I need help paying for them.

I do have my pride, but even a silly kitty knows when she needs to ask for help, and I need your help very badly.  I hate to ask, but my life literally could hang in the balance, so won’t you please, please, PLEASE help me with a donation?  I know that right now things are tough all over for us all, especially where the economy is concerned, but even a few dollars could help make the difference for me to get better and go home.  I miss my cat sister Neko!

If you can see it in your heart to help me, I’d be most grateful.  Please make a PayPal donation to help with my medical bills.  I promise it’s safe so you don’t have to worry!

You are welcome to contact my Vet to verify my story and wish me well, too!

  1. I would help if I could, especially since a few years ago I had to make a similar plea. A kitten we found had to have his rear leg amputated at 6 weeks of age, and we had no money for vet bills. The kindness of strangers paid all of his bills (and our vet helped a lot by applying heavy discounts too) and we were also able to get a few strays spayed as well. Unfortunately as it stands now I have been unemployed for almost three years so am counting every penny.

Best of luck with your cause; and best of luck to your health little guy!

Good wishes from Lucky (my angel kitty), Cloud, and Mildred the Unholy Terror.
